potential advertising 2

poster (first draft)

This is the first draft of my album release poster (magazine advertisement). I am happy with the general layout and composition of the text and I think the image works well and relates to the research I did on the artists media texts.

The audience feedback I got from this poster was positive and the only negative was that I should maybe consider changing the colour of the image or lower the saturation/vibrance so the face wasn't overly bright in contrast with the hair and the text.

update

I have decided to change the end of the video so I will be re-shooting monday and wednesday this upcoming week. This means I will have to get the last bit of editing done within a few days so I have started my evaluation and made sure I've got my ancilary texts finished meaning I have more time to focus on getting the video finished.

album release poster (final draft)

This is the final draft of my poster, created for what would be the albums release. Although the style of it is different to the album cover, I do like it in black and white and think the basic colour scheme and the tones within the image/text work well together to create a poster that looks like it would be used as an album release poster.

updated digipak - three images

These are my final images put onto the digipak template, I am still to create another image to use as  the other inside cover. The inside cover image is much better in black and white because I think it suits the other two images more than the colour version and although I didn't want the images to be similar, I think after seeing both, I do like the b&w copy more.

Inside cover image - digipak

I decided to convert this image to black and white because I felt it related more to the album release poster so linked the two meida texts and because I prefer this copy. It fits better with the cover and the back of the album and I like the shilouette effect it emphasises.

I have used this image to promote the website on the Digipak .

image for digipak

This is the image I have taken and edited to use as the inside cover, I will add some text and put it on the Digipak template to see what it looks like against the other images. I have changed the colour balance and the curves within this image to get the colours and this effect.

first draft (un-finished) digipak

This is a draft of my Digipak with the final front and back covers included. I like the two images I have used and the composition of the text on both link well because I have used the same font (as planned). I think both the images been simple and quite similar was a good thing to do because it matches expected conventions of an album, although, I plan to create an image that will be different for the inside cover.

back of album (final draft - to go on Digipak)

I am using this as the finished back cover to add to the Digipak. I think the writing is more of a focus on this draft and although it is different to my hand-drawn one, I think it looks just as effective or even more so because with the cropped image, there is less of a background distracting the audience.

first draft - album back

This is my first draft of what will be the back of the Digipak, it is accurate to my hand-drawn draft and looks how I expected it to but after seeing it in digital format I think I could imporve it quite a bit. I will try to edit it so that the writing doesn't look as lost as it does at the minute.

album cover (final draft)

This is my final draft of the album cover, I am happy with both the image and text now that I have manipulated th first drafts a little, and I think overall, it works well and looks like an album cover. I have changed the album title to it's actual name because I think it looks better using a longer title than the short one I had used in previous drafts.

second draft - album cover

This is the second draft of the cover, I think this image works a lot better because it seems more fitting for an album cover. I plan to change the text under the artists name because I want to give the album it's actual title 'Like I used to'. I will also crop the image further so that the image is the right size & dimension to be the square cover.

first draft album cover

This is the first draft of my album cover - I aimed to create a simple cover, however, I think this one looks too basic. I also want to move the text because I think the positioning looks a bit odd and for some reason I think it looks more like a poster than an album cover.
