Shot description


  1.  C/U (4 seconds) look up/eyes open
  2. L/S (1 second) not looking at camera, until singing starts 
  3. M C/U (3 seconds) looking at camera, lip syncing.
  4. C/U (0.5/1 second) whilst standing up – fast editing
  5. L/S (2 seconds) once stood up, music until singing starts again
  6. C/U (3 seconds) clock – fast editing – time lapse?
  7. C/U (5 seconds) Amelia’s face- lip syncing (full line)
  8. L/S (1 second) Focus – out of focus (change until next line starts) then start tracking shot
  9. M C/U (1 second) Amelia looking out of window – shoot back of her head
  10. M C/U (1 second) same mise-en-scene. Looking at Amelia from a different angle – still looking out of window. Lip syncing.
  11. L/S (1 sec) cut back to tracking shot
  12. M C/U (1 sec) cut to where Amelia was stood – she’s not there (‘I followed’).
  13. L/S (5 sec) Amelia in shot, slowly moving/walking diagonally across the shot but towards camera, lip syncing.
  14. M C/U (1 sec) Amelia in same place but shot from behind her.
  15. L/S (3 sec) Amelia’s sat looking away from camera but still singing.
  16. M C/U (1 sec) zoom in to the medium close up and shoot slightly higher angled shot looking down on Amelia so you can see her hand moving in the leaves on floor.
  17. C/U (1 sec) smiley face – look up and towards camera, eye contact.
  18. C/U (2 sec) sharp/fast cuts to match music - fill gap before the next line starts.
  19. C/U (2 sec) looks up – smiles. (Maybe cut back to long shot  or medium close up of her sat down if time in music)
  20. L/S ( 3 sec) Sat down, outdoor shot. Starts to stand up and gets closer to the camera.
  21. L/S (0.25 sec) change shots in time with music – no lip syncing – in bedroom.
  22. L/S (0.25 sec) change shots in time with music – no lip syncing –outdoor location (opposite dads).
  23. L/S (7 sec) back to shot 21 – lip sync the full line. Looking at camera then around a bit.
  24. C/U (4 sec) Lip syncing – 2/3 of the shot – LOCATION/MISE-EN-SCENE 
  25. C/U (1 sec) close up of face from angle – looking down slightly. (Dining room, back wall)
  26. C/U (1 sec) Amelia’s profile –lip syncing
  27. L/S (3 sec) sat at table – shoot from opposite end.
  28. C/U (1 sec) Face 2/3 of the shot again – lip syncing
  29. C/U (7 sec) face against black background (studio at work) projector playing video across face while Amelia is singing.
  30. L/S (0.50 sec) shoot from above – slight angle. Laid on the floor at work (same mise-en-scen as previous shot
  31. - L/S (0.50 sec) same shot as above but different location – film opposite dads. 
  32. - cut back to shot 30 in time with music
  33. -cut back to shot 31 in time with music..
  34. L/S (3 sec) outdoor location – starts to sit up looks around – lip sync.
  35. L/S (3 sec) river near Beresford (same time of day/lighting as previous shot)
  36. L/S (2.5 sec) sat on wall near Beresford – shoot behind Amelia, river and background in shot.
  37. C/U (3.5 sec) close up of feet moving; still try to get river in shot.
  38. M C/U (3 sec) sat at table – shoot from high angle/profile. (dining room)
  39. L/S (6 sec) lip sync – bedroom
  40. M C/U (1 sec) stood at window, shoot from an angle – Amelia looking out but lip sync  ‘watch and’
  41. L/S (1 sec) lip syncing 'burnt'
    C/u (1 sec) until next line starts - face from interesting viewpoint/angle
  42. M C/U (7 sec) projector shot (at work) lip sync the whole line - clip from Submarine playing across her face
  43. L/S (3 sec) tracking shot opposite dads house, used earlier - shot 8 
  44. L/S (1 sec) bedroom, lip sync 'tell' - fast edit
  45. M C/U (0.20 sec) sat by log burner 'me' 
  46. M C/U (0.20 sec) looking out of bedroom window 
  47. M C/U (0.20 sec) sat on wall near Beresford or in tower on Pearson (film both and decide when editing) 
  48. C/U (2 sec) smiley, looking at camera until end of line - look down 
  49. L/S (0.50 sec) stood facing camera - lip syncing
